Structuring peer interactions for massive scale learning with Chinmay Kulkarni

The Harvard Initiative for Learning and Teaching (HILT) welcomed Assistant Professor Chinmay Kulkarni of Carnegie Mellon University on October 26, 2015 as part of its Scholar to Practitioner Speaker Series. In his talk, entitled “Structuring Peer Interactions for Massive Scale Learning,” Kulkarni discussed his research with the Human-Computer Interaction Institute, which brings pedagogical best practices in residential classrooms to scale for tens of thousands of students in online computational systems.

Kulkarni and his team developed tools to surpass three stumbling blocks in the online classroom: feedback, diverse prospective, and rapidrevision. Jump to full video.
